How can technology change education system?

We all
know the story of gravity, how it was discovered, how mathematical
derivations were taken out and then how it was applied in every day
physics experiment. Over the years we saw experiments were taken out
to detect gravity on various planets in our solar system. Gravity
became one of the parameters to describe planets after their size,
colour and movement. From just fall of apple, going through Newton’s
laws, Astroscience, and finally making man reach planets, that’s
how gravity evolved with technology.

Today we
don’t have any physics curriculum which doesn’t inculcate
gravity. With inventions and revolutions over the world, education
system transformed completely. Who knew that zero and algebraic
number system will travel the whole world from India but it did. When
technology expanded its reach, knowledge flourished like anything.

But was
this it or is there anything more. Till now we only talked about how
technology discovered new horizons for learning but learning has to
be passed on to pupils. And for this passage we defined the term
Education System. It’s true that since Early Vedic age we had a
prominent education system in the state of Brahmcharya but we can’t
follow the same system in the year 2020. We have a population of over
1.3 Billion and it speaks volumes about how desperately we need a
fully furnished Education System which can reach masses.

India is
a developing country and there are still children who have never been
to school or took a drop for varied reasons, particularly to
financially support their family. Government schools have a tragic
state with inadequate facilities for students. Private schools have
been found charging lot of fee from parents. Still in India people
file cases in courts for inappropriate culture prevailing in
institutions. We often witness poor examination schemes at various
places and our news channels are flooded with them. Unavailability of
faculty, poor working conditions of staff and under paid teachers,
this is the scene of most of the schools. How do you feel that we
can sustain in this education system?

Unised
International has been closely observing these issues. For us both
students and faculties are important. If we have taken the
responsibility of shaping India’s future then we know that future
can’t be made alone without the support of both teachers and
students. When we talk about giving an edge to Education System then
we clearly state that we have addressed the current issues and have
come up with something revolutionary. And in that direction we have
made technology our friend.

We also
referred the criticism of technology but it’s actually in our hands
of how we want to use this friend of ours. With enormous research and
experiments, we concluded that if we want to enhance present day
Education System, we can’t do it without technology. And to prove
our point, we have enlisted few points which will clearly reflect
“How can technology change education system”?

1.
Digital Simulations and Models

Digital
simulations and models can help teachers more tangibly and clearly
explain difficult concepts and can help students who are visual or
tactile learners better understand the concepts. And it suits best to
the preschool students.

2.
Improved Communication

Ineffective
correspondence among teachers and students can be a hindrance to
learning and education. Technology can change the classroom into a
network where teachers post assignments progressively, and students
can ask questions more easily–of teachers and of their peers–and
reference a structured record of past discussions.

3.
Advanced Research, Quick Information, and eBooks

Cloud
storage and smart search engines have made research a great deal less
demanding for students nowadays. Gone are the days when they needed
to flip through heaps of books to locate a specific reference.

Since a
considerable measure of time is spared amid research, and since it is
easier to access a wider array of sources, students can consolidate a
ton of information and knowledge in their projects. Results can be
compared worldwide more efficiently, allowing for faster progress in
advanced research.

From a
practical perspective, eBooks also save students money and the burden
of hauling around a pile of books for one class curriculum. Since the
vast majority of students have a tablet they can bring everywhere,
digital course material and books are convenient. EBooks are
regularly acquired at a marked down rate compared to conventional
soft cover books. This makes them more affordable for students as
well.

4.
Effective Assessments

Technology
not only allows teachers to prepare practice exercises in a
productive manner, it also allows them to better measure the
advancement of their students.

There is
programming accessible with which teachers can give or get
assessments of their students continuously. Digital assessments allow
teachers to check in on progress regularly. They then have the
ability to keep records up to date more easily and accurately. They
can tell teachers not only whether the student got a question right,
but also how much time was spent on the question. These assessments
give teachers a much clearer picture as to their students’
advancement. From there, they can intervene in a timelier, effective
manner. They may also be able to analyse trends across the class, and
more easily compare test results with other classrooms and schools.

5.
Learning at One’s Own Pace

Obviously,
self-guided learning is another enormous advantage that students
appreciate with the rise of technology in the education industry.
Despite the fact that there are some quick students who are fit for
adjusting to new concepts quickly, there are others who must set
aside considerable time to assimilate a thought. Such students are
blessed with the possibility of technology being a piece of their
learning; now they can keep pace with their peers by using guided
exercises and online curriculum to take on new concepts at their own
pace, and to practice again later, at home.

6.
Fun Learning

The
utilization of technology has made learning significantly more fun
than any other time in recent memory. Students are getting engaged in
a diverse array of learning tasks that improve their retention of new
concepts. For example, there is an incredible breadth of education
applications that allow students to learn various concepts in a
playful, interactive manner.

Students
that may struggle to understand a certain subject can search for a
tutorial video online. Videos or live streaming content can offer an
alternate approach to a thought and better understanding of a concept
or subject. These videos can allow an interesting and interactive
approach to learning that might be more easily digested.

7.
Online Group Collaboration

The idea
of group study has been improved in the digital world. Presently,
students don’t have to get together physically; there are many ways
to collaborate online. They can share files and notes, work together
on documents, instant message or email. They can even use video
conferencing to discuss projects face to face.

8.
Open Education

We have
access to information like never before. In this innovative and
revolutionized world, there are various free resources available to
learners–whether they are articles written by individuals,
micro-learning courses from experts, or archives made available by
prestigious colleges. Regardless of your location or budget, if you
have internet access, the universe of the web will undoubtedly have
the means to answer your question.

Technology
can give teachers and students remarkable resources. They have access
to new opportunities for learning approaches to work together and to
set aside additional cash. Technology is not just a powerful thing
for education–it is a superpower.
